Once again… the summer is magic
August 23rd, 2005
Returned yesterday from a great holiday with Ilona in Kusadasi, a Turkish city along the Eagean sea. It was just what I needed. Of course we mostly just went to one the the many beaches in the neighbourhood of Kusadasi, but went on two excursions as well. First we headed for Pamukkale and Hieropolis, an amazing natural phenomenon and a divine city featuring the Necropolis, the city of the dead. We also visited ruins of the ancient city of Ephesus. Specialy the library realy was quite impressive, and of course sitting on a public toilet that had first been used over 2000 years ago. In the evening we made it our policy to eat at a different restaurant each night. Ilona explored the wonderous world of steaks, while I develed into the rich Turkish cuisine. Our last dinner at Sunshine restaurant was a great last meal, whith both the food and our hosts being the best yet.
I might be adding a travelreport later, just like I did when I went to Athens . But for now you’ll have to do with the photo’s Ilona and I made.
