Had the time of my life yesterday in Scheveningen. Chitra and I had arranged to go and see the musical the Lion King. After finding out the theater was bang next to the beach, we decided to go there during the day. And after weeks of cold and rainy weather we were fortunate enough to be there for the first really warm sunny day of the season. After a delicious meal at Peukie (what’s in a name), we headed to the Fortis Circus Theater for the Lion King. I figured it must be good, because the film is one of my favorite Disney films. It turned out to be not just good, but absolutely fantastic. The combination of amazing costumes, the great songs (yes.. even though they were in Dutch) and good acting was enough to put smiles on our faces that lasted the whole trip back. Which was just as well, since the road back was piled with road works and a 1 a.m. traffic jam.. we even ended up inside Rotterdam city limits finding a way to bypass all the road blocks, haha.

All in all, it was truly a great day out…
